The project

In the context of the horizontal project, GUnet designed and developed the National Open Courses Search Portal which serves as the National Repository for open courses. The aim is to support, in combination with the Open eClass and Open Delos platforms, the open courses offered by the Greek HEI and make them widely known by providing a central search facility for finding online courses that match specific search criteria.

The Search Portal collects data and information about the available open courses (metadata) from the digital infrastructures of the participating HEI. Any potential user may browse the available courses (more than 3.000), to find some of their interest, per institute and subject area or search them by using “key-words”.
